After oral treatment with 20mg/tablets, 80% of patients experienced a reduction in blood pressure, with mean reductions in blood pressure of 4.8 mmHg (5.4 cmH2) and 3.4 mmHg (2.9 cmH2), respectively. Tadalafil 10mg/20mg tablets were found to be effective in 62% of patients, while placebo-treated patients showed no benefit. Tadalafil did not cause any adverse reactions in patients taking any drug of the group that received 20mg/tablets. These findings support the use of this medication in patients with PAH who are not responding to other therapies.
